In the prologue of John, we read that Jesus Christ was the true light that enlightens every man. For us Christians understand the true light:

1) The spiritual education to real life that Jesus teaches the gospel;

2) Grace, Humility, Peace and Mercy that we find in the expression of the loving face of the Redeemer which is reflected in the expression of the face of every person in need;

3 ) The Holy Sacraments which the Holy Church gives us;

4) The light of Christ's face.

In the verse of John's Gospel (John 1:12) and that of the Book of Psalms (Psalm 80, 4) we learn that every right person, at the instant after his last breath in life here on earth, not know the death, and therefore sin, because it rises through heavenly light and invisible of the Redeemer.
