The light of Christ's face is a source of salvation for the righteous

Sudario di Manoppello filtrato e impresso sulla Sindone dalla luce celeste di Cristo Antonio Theseus

Psalm 31.17

Fa 'your face shine upon your servant, save me for your mercy.

Psalm 119.170

Come to my plea to your face, save me according to Thy word.

Psalm 143.7

back soon, Lord, my spirit fails. Do not hide your face, because it's not like someone who falls into the pit.

In the prologue of John, we read that Jesus Christ was the true light that enlightens every man. For us Christians understand the true light:

1) The spiritual education to real life that Jesus teaches the gospel;

2) Grace, Humility, Peace and Mercy that we find in the expression of the loving face of the Redeemer which is reflected in the expression of the face of every person in need;

3 ) The Holy Sacraments which the Holy Church gives us;

4) The light of Christ's face.

In the verse of John's Gospel (John 1:12) and that of the Book of Psalms (Psalm 80, 4) we learn that every right person, at the instant after his last breath in life here on earth, not know the death, and therefore sin, because it rises through heavenly light and invisible of the Redeemer. If the lover of the Lord here on earth, surrounds the body of Christ Jesus the Bread of Eternal Life (the Eucharist), just after his last breath of life will be transformed into invisible light, and accepted by the light of the Savior in the sky like a ray of His Most Holy Body and His Holy Spirit. Here is what it means to Paradise: Living in the Light of Christ the beauty of " True Love" . For every holy soul, bodily death is nothing but the absolute purification of the spirit, because it comes off completely and permanently from the meat, which, in the flat world, is susceptible to corruption (John 1, 9-11). Precisely because it is completely pure, so the spirit can ever contemplate the Face of God the Father.

Who knows, the time of Jesus, what were the customs of the Jews, he knows that the funeral cloths were considered unclean because they touched a corpse. It happened, however, that the apostle John believed in the resurrection of his master after having contemplated the shroud (Jn. 20, 4-8).

What then happened?

The apostle had found a mark left by the Lord that the veil had become pure from impure because it had been illuminated by filtered light of Christ's face. To illuminate the kingdom of darkness ruled by the devil, and then click to save the righteous, the true power of the light blue of the Face of Christ had to illuminate the interior of the tomb (a that time considered a symbol of darkness) because the Savior had risen from the dead in His purity for eternal life (Luke 17.24). The shroud, then, is the object that best represents the resurrection of Christ precisely because it was irradiated by the light of God . The light of the Holy Face in the tomb, I repeat once again, will be the same that one day the invisible will allow every person, who does the will of the Messiah in the world, for Christ's resurrection with Christ and in Christ.

in the preparation of the above, we can see how bad the bottom left of the Holy Face Shroud and the bottom right on the same face with the Holy Face Manoppello are almost identical, because I think this fact gives us a perfect testimony of filtering between the two figures together, exposed to a single source of light.

On 24 April 2010 the bishop of Tarbes-Lourdes, Bishop Philippe Perrier, has made us a great gift:

has made a pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Holy Face (Pescara - Italy) and celebrated Mass. On arrival was greeted by the Archbishop of Chieti - Vasto Archbishop Bruno Forte. After the Mass, Bishop Perrier was synthesized in the registry of the "illustrious pilgrims," \u200b\u200bthe reason for his visit, bringing in close connection with the shrine of Lourdes to Manoppello. Here's what he wrote: "With some people who help in serving the pilgrims to Lourdes, I celebrated the Eucharist under the gaze of Christ. Our Lady of Lourdes pilgrims guide to desire to encounter Christ. Through her, we are shown the salvation given by Christ with a passion. We would be worthy to offer pilgrims this rich treasure of graces ". The bishop wanted to emphasize how to draw souls to Jesus himself, as happens in Manoppello either directly, or through Mary, as happens in Lourdes, where daily moves the hearts of countless pilgrims wanting to Jesus, to seek the face . Mary goes to Jesus to Mary is the most likely to make us know the face of Jesus, she has covered since he created it in the flesh. How then later showed it to the Magi, now shows it to us. Intercedes for us as at Cana: "They have no wine" (Jn 2:3) and at the same time lovingly invites us to follow the teachings of Jesus: "Do whatever he tells you" (Jn 2:5). Pope Benedict XVI, January 1, 2010, spoke at length with the face of Christ and has linked with the face of Mary. Here are some beautiful passages of his sermon: "The face is the expression par excellence of the person, what makes it recognizable from which transpire feelings, thoughts and intents of the heart. "When the fullness of time God sent forth his Son born of woman, born under the law (Gal 4:4)." The face of God took a human face, allowing to see and recognized in the Son of the Virgin Mary, which is why we worship with the highest title of "Mother of God." She, who kept in his heart the secret of divine maternity, was the first to see the face of God made man in the small fruit of her womb. The mother has a very special relationship, unique and exclusive in some way with his newborn son. The first face that the child sees is his mother, and this look is critical to its relationship with life, with himself, with others, with God ...

face Face of Jesus and Mary's Basilica of the Holy Face - "La Divina Pastora"

Madonna_col_Bambin_Gesu

In the Basilica of the Holy Face, just above the temple houses the shrine where the holy image, there is a ceramic depicting "La Divina Pastora." The author represented the two main characters, Mary and baby Jesus, with the same features, resembled the face. It was inspired all'esclamazione pronounced in front of a newborn child: "It's his mother!", That looks a lot like her mother. This expression fits with Jesus' truth in fact, for infants can also be said to resemble the father, or a little 'one and a bit' to another, but there is no doubt of Jesus, he received the meat human only by his mother. Thus the human features of Jesus must have resembled those of Mary. Who saw Jesus, also saw Mary. In the face of Mary shone the divine that filled her, as transpired in the face of his divine Son, she contemplated. Bernadette Soubirous, since the Holy Virgin appeared, printed in his heart the face of Mary, where you could see that Jesus' good reason, then, shaking his head every time you had a painting or a sculpture of the Blessed Virgin. In September 1867, Sister Joseph Caldairou expression given by Bernadette recalls: "I can not find any nice lady, after having seen the original" and in October of 1877, Sister Marie-Josephine Durin: In front of the first statue of the Madonna Lourdes arrived at home mother, said, "Sister, resembles the Virgin Mary?". Bernadette does not respond, but two big tears fall from his eyes. Clasping her hands and says, looking at the statue: "Oh, my good Mother, as I have disfigured." "Through Maria we are shown the salvation given by Christ with a passion" (Bishop Perrier). Lourdes Manoppello (in due differences) have in common suffering, whether physical, moral, and behind this, a flood of grace: faith, devotion, faith, healings, but also conversions (the confessional witness it!). The sick in body or spirit, the desolate, the discouraged, the sinners ... confidently turn to Jesus and ask the maternal intercession of Mary. I really hope to "be worthy to offer pilgrims this rich treasure of graces". Face of Jesus and Mary's face
